We are thrilled to learn that OB Duncan Lorimer (Tees '87) has been elected as a fellow of The Royal Society! Since 2006, he has been a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at West Virginia University, whose first fast radio burst discovery was recognised by the prestigious Shaw Prize in Astronomy in 2023 We look forward to welcoming Duncan back to Barney and congratulating him on this latest success when he returns as part of our exciting HeadSpace Speaker Programme for 2024/2025! |
