OB Harvey Barkes (Tees '16) is the fourth generation of the Barkes family leading Thorpe Farm Centre. 

Harvey will be managing the day to day business as well as future development for the centre. Harvey said 'I strive for Thorpe Centre to become a place where locals and those holidaying here can enjoy the experience of being on a farm.'

Thorpe Farm was bought by Harvey's great grandfather in 1936. When Harvey's father returned from college in 1983 he was running mixed livestock farm. They diversified the bysiness in 2001 by opening the shop.
